Language
The language i am going to use for my college magazine will be informal, i feel this will involve the target audience more. The writing used is going to be conversational slang and i am going involve alliteration to add a bit of humour and relaxation to the article.
Institution
The isntitution is the creator of the college and magazine, in this case i will be the institution.
Ideology
My ideology is to entertain the wyke students before they break up for half term. And to bring the college term to an end in an enjoyable way. Baring in mind halloween would of just passed and my article is based on a halloween catwalk. The article will refer to the up and coming event.
Audience
My target audience is aimed at boys and girls, mainly girls, from the age category of 16-18. It is mainly aimed at girls because its a catwalk including fashion tips etc so the female banding will find it more beneficial were as the male genre will just enjoy it. Teachers and college staff are also welcome and it will be there chance to realise what there students are cabable of doing because some of the costumes will be hand made by textile students. Also photography and art students at the school will be giving a mention if there work was involved in the catwalk.
Representation
My representation is a student catwalk. The male and female students at wyke college are going
to be modeling halloween outfits. Whether it be hand made by some of the textile students in there first or second year or wheter students have gone to the trouble of going out and buying costumes. There will be 6 shows. One of them will be a catwalk where the textile students have made the outifts and boys and girls will be modelling them. There will be a winner from each catwalk based on 4 Judges. One of the judges will be a photography teacher one will be a member of staff from the office and the other two will be students one female from year 12 and one male from year 13. This variety has been chosen because it will deffintley effect of the chosen winner. The second catwalk will be first year girl students not necessarily studying photography, textiles or art. The third catwalk will be males in the first year and for both of these catwalks the students themselves have bought their outfits. The fourth and fith catwalks are the 2nd year students modelling outifts they have bought and finally the last catwalk is teachers and member of staff modelling outfits they have bought. Each catwalk will involve 8 people and their will be a winner for everyone. The prize is free food and drink in the canteen for a week. This event will take place in the theatre on Friday 24th October. It will start at 12:30 and finish at 4:00. The lunch will be an hour earlier than usual. Tickets are £1.50 and will be sold at the guidance office from the 6th October and will stop selling at 11:00 on the 24th.
